Tie-Dying Your Tee? Style Etoile has the fondest memories of our summer camp days—more than a few of which were spent tie-dying tees to create future vintage pieces (we were fashionistas from the start)— so we have decided to pay homage to those memories in a super stylish way. Ladies, run to your walk-ins and grab your favorite vintage tee because it is time for Style Etoile’s DIY fun with tie-dye edition. You will need a tie-dye kit, pre-shrunk tees, rubber gloves, and scissors.

1. Wash your top or cami.

2. Prepare your work space— make sure you cover all areas.

3. Carefully wrap rubber bands around your garment. Don’t be afraid to get creative and wrap them in different ways.

4. Slap those rubber gloves on and carefully dip your tee into multiple colors—don’t be afraid to mix different hues. Please Note: You can use squirt bottles if you are using multiple colors.

5. Let your tie-dyed tees soak for 6 to 8 hours.

6. Cut off the rubber bands and toss your tee in the washing machine (separately). Set your washing machine to “large” load and use hot water. Let the shirt dry.

7. Sick of the same old style tee? Get creative and crop it or cut the sleeves off. See image above for inspiration . . .
